Eku Edewor Speaks On Romance

The Nigerian men I have dated have been very romantic; I guess it depends on the type of man one attracts and also what one deems romantic. Know whom you’re with, some guys don’t want to say cheesy things and look into your eyes but they will always make sure your happiness comes first. Not everything has to be a large “romantic” gesture. Romance has to do with being selfless. Simple things like, choosing to stay with your girlfriend all weekend watching movies instead of being at the clubs all weekend with the boys is romantic; others are sending flowers for no reason at all, surprise dinners, heartfelt messages. If your partner really knows you and loves you, he’ll find ways to be romantic and find ways to make you happy. I actually find Nigerian guys far more active and good when it comes to making large romantic statements. A tip to guys, flowers always makes women happy, even if they say they don’t love flowers. They probably do and if sending chocolates with cards is what your lady wants, it really won’t hurt or take much time."

Just For Laughs

Hi honey, this is daddy. Is mommy near the phone?” a voice on the other end answer “No daddy she is upstairs in the bedroom with Uncle Paul.” The little girl quipped.

“After a brief pause daddy says “but honey you haven’t got an uncle Paul!”

“Oh yes I do, and he is upstairs in the room with mommy right now.”

... Brief pause “uh okay then, this is what I want you to do: “Put the phone down on the table, run upstairs, knock on the bedroom door, and shout to mommy that daddy’s car has just arrived at the gate.”"Ok daddy just a minute…”

A while later the little girl comes back to the phone, “done it daddy.”"What happened honey?”

“Well, mommy got scared and jumped out of the bed naked, ran round the room screaming, tripped over, and knocked her head on the staircase, now she is not moving at all.”

“What about Uncle Paul?” asked Dad.”He jumped out the window into the swimming pool, but I guess he didn’t know you emptied the water last week. He hit the bottom and I think he’s dead.”

Really long pause this time…

Daddy says, “swimming pool, but we don’t have a swimming pool?

Is this 486-5731?”

“No, this is 486-5713.”

Sorry, wrong number… !!!

Woman found stabbed to death days after posting FB warning about her ex

5 days after posting the message above on her Facebook page, Michelle Rowling was found stabbed to death in her apartment. Michelle posted this on Monday November 25th and was found stabbed multiple times on Saturday November 30th.

According to NYDaily News, police are looking for Michelle's ex-boyfriend, 25 year old Montrell Cooper (pictured above), who threatened to kill her once he gets out of jail. Montrell was arrested and locked up for assaulting Michelle in August. He also stabbed her in the neck in 2012.

Now if you read Michelle's responses to friends on that same post, she explained that she made the statement because of some bad news she received. Friends later revealed that the day of the ominous post, Michelle had learned that her ex-boyfriend had been released from jail. See the Facebook post and her replies after the cut...

People come for Brandy for posting 'negative' pics of Africa

Quite a number of people from different parts of Africa blasted US singer Brandy for posting pics on her instagram page that they felt 'portrayed Africa in a bad light'. Brandy, who was in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire a few days ago to perform, posted the photo above and called it 'Beauty'. She posted another pic of three young boys in tattered clothing and called it 'depth'.

Africans didn't see the 'beauty' or 'depth' in the photos. More responses after the cut...

Brandy will be in Abuja, Nigeria this weekend to perform, hopefully she will find something better to post of our beautiful country. :-)

Wonderful Movie. Right on time for the holiday spirit.

It's funny how, in this journey of life, even though we may begin at different times and places, our paths cross with others so that we may share our love, compassion, observations, and hope. This is a design of God that I appreciate and cherish.”   start the season with this http://watch32.com/movies-online/the-best-man-holiday-5349
